SNAP Education & Assistance
empowering health
Learn about the SNAP Program and see if you qualify for support.
SNAP, formerly known as food stamps, is the only federal nutrition program available to all citizens and some legal immigrants, regardless of age, if they also meet income guidelines. At Catholic Charities Community Services of Rockland, we're proud to help community members navigate the application process to receive a monthly stipend that can help them afford the cost of feeding themselves and their families nutritious food.
- Our Nutrition Education Outreach Program (NOEP) Coordinators share information about SNAP and the application process to help community members determine if they could be eligible for benefits.
- NOEP Coordinators can also help eligible SNAP households successfully complete applications and verify that they're receiving the benefits they would be eligible for.
