Community Garden

let's grow together

The Garden of Love

The Garden of Love at Catholic Charities Community Services of Rockland is more than just a garden—it's a nurturing space where community and compassion thrive. Established in 2010 with the support of Rockland County’s Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener program, our garden flourishes through the collaborative efforts of St. Ann’s Parish and Good Samaritan Hospital.

Community Collaboration

Our garden is a collaborative effort, nurtured with the support of St. Ann’s Parish and Good Samaritan Hospital. The fresh vegetables we grow are distributed through our Food Pantry Programs, providing essential nourishment to families across our parishes.

Educational Hub

The Garden of Love is more than a food source; it’s a place where community members can learn the art of gardening. We offer hands-on education, empowering individuals with the skills to grow their own food and promoting sustainable, healthy living.

Culinary Inspiration

We’re fortunate to partner with chefs from Union Restaurant in Haverstraw, who use our garden’s produce in cooking demonstrations. These sessions highlight creative ways to prepare fresh vegetables and inspire our community to embrace healthy cooking at home.
